We're looking for a dedicated Company Secretary to join our leadership team at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society where your expertise will help to steer the society forwards. More than a compliance role, this is an opportunity to champion strong governance, support our Board and help to deliver long term value for our members and communities.
The Company Secretary plays a critical role in ensuring the society operates within legal and regulatory frameworks and maintaining high standards of corporate governance. Working closely with the Board, the Company Secretary acts as an advisor on governance and the effective administration of committee meetings, supporting compliance with statutory and regulatory compliance.
Building strong and trusted relationships with Senior Management, regulators, Board and members, the Company Secretary will manage the integrity of the governance processes to safeguard members and the society’s reputation.
The Company Secretary oversees the society’s compliance with the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) and managing the Whistleblowing framework. The Company Secretary is an Officer of the Society. Operating in a dynamic and fast paced environment, the Company Secretary is required to role model an agile mindset with a pro-active approach to continuous learning.
