Financial Support Manager
Are you passionate about helping people through financial uncertainty with empathy, clarity, and care?
Do you thrive in a role where leading and developing a team creates real, meaningful impact for customers?
Are you ready to shape services that reflect the real-life needs of individuals and their families?
As Financial Support Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting customers who are experiencing financial difficulty. This role is about people and understanding the pressures our customers face and ensuring they receive the right support, at the right time, in the right way.
You’ll lead a team that delivers personalised, ethical, and empathetic support to customers during times of financial stress. From helping someone who’s missed a payment to guiding a customer through a long-term change in circumstances, your team will be a trusted source of reassurance and practical help.
A key part of your role will involve overseeing a portfolio of interest-only mortgage accounts, ensuring these are managed proactively and responsibly. You’ll support customers in understanding their options, planning ahead, and making informed decisions about their financial future, always with care and clarity.
As a people leader, you’ll coach and develop your team to grow in confidence and capability. You’ll foster a culture where colleagues feel empowered, supported, and proud of the difference they make. You’ll use insight and data to monitor performance and quality, but your focus will always be on improving outcomes for customers.
You’ll take ownership of Financial Support procedures, ensuring they meet regulatory standards while reflecting our values of fairness, integrity, and care. You’ll also work closely with senior leaders, sharing insights and helping shape services that truly put customers first.
You’ll bring a solid understanding of financial support within a customer-focused environment, particularly in helping people navigate financial difficulty with empathy, clarity, and care.
You’ll be someone who understands the real-life impact of financial stress and is passionate about making a difference whether that’s helping a member explore options to stay in their home, or guiding them through the complexities of an interest-only mortgage.
You’ll be confident in your decision-making, open to learning and feedback, and committed to building strong, supportive relationships both with your team and with the customers you serve. Your leadership will inspire others to deliver ethical, expert, and human support, every single day.
