Telephone Business Development Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Hinckley & Rugby Building Society as Telephone Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the wider team in delivering and achieving the intermediary sales plan for the Society. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous intermediary experience or sales experience who is now looking for a new challenge!
About the role
The Telephone Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to our intermediaries and helping to exceed their expectations. We are seeking a driven and customer-focused individual to support achievement of the society's sales plan and generate mortgage growth alongside good customer outcomes. We are looking for someone who is able to build and develop effective relationships with new and existing mortgage Intermediaries by providing accurate factual information whilst promoting our products in a successful manner.
Key roles & responsibilities include:
• Handling mortgage lending criteria and process queries from intermediaries, by telephone, live chat, and email, within SLA, to proactively encourage increased levels of business.
• To identify new potential relationships and develop close working relationships with identified brokers over a period with scheduled calls.
• Contribute to the growth of the Society’s Intermediary customer base by providing professional first contact across the customer journey.
• Ensure effective liaison and teamwork with other business areas to achieve a co-ordinated and integrated approach to developing business opportunities.
• Attend network and club events, representing HRBS, face to face or online, explaining our USPs in a confident manner on an ad hoc basis.
We are looking for some who has:
• Previous intermediary experience including account management and presenting to intermediaries (12 months desirable).
• Previous experience in Telephony or other sales role.
• Experience of working in a telephone-based environment.
• Proven experience of developing successful relationships within the Intermediary sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the intermediary mortgage market.
• Strong understanding of clubs and networks as well as an appreciation of sourcing and criteria systems.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of FCA/PRA regulatory environment would be desirable.
